Freedom Ascent: Introductory Webinar

A Taste of Weavers: Option A
Is there someone who you have wished you could connect with God? The Weavers way of engaging others in conversation is what you’ve been looking for. This 90-minute seminar introduces the experience of personal and biblical storyweaving for everyday conversations. This uses an oral-learner, Scripture engagement approach that has been adapted to various cultures in 18 countries. This strategy is by nature flexible, personal, interactive, locally sustainable using minimal resources and can be adapted to various situations for people who are important in your life and for spontaneous encounters. Weavers Personal Evangelism for Africa
This 8-week training will help you gain vision and skill for biblical storyweaving conversations in which you can share the good news of Jesus with people you care about — friends, family, neighbors, co-workers — in ways that are timely and relevant for them. More than just Bible storytelling, this training is about facilitating conversations that can help people to connect with God. This will be taught by Africans for the African context. The 2-hour online sessions will take place on Tuesdays from February 18 to April 8 at the following times: 4:30pm - 6:30pm UTC (=Monrovia, Liberia); 5:30pm - 7:30pm WAT; 6:30pm - 8:30pm SAT. Weavers for Evangelism: Option A
This 8-session online training series will help you gain vision and skill for biblical storyweaving conversations in which you can share the good news of Jesus with people you care about — friends, family, neighbors, co-workers — in ways that are timely and relevant for them. You will have a chance to practice what you learn using everyday situations that are applicable in the region you serve in. This training includes eight 90 minute sessions and out of class practices with your other training participants. Plan on an additional hour each week for an out-of-class practice. Dates: February 26th – April 16. Time: 9:00AM – 10:30AM NY, 14:00 – 15:30 UTC. **Be sure to check your local time. Weavers Personal Discipleship for Africa
This 8-week online training will equip you for carrying out the responsibility Jesus Christ gave his followers to make disciples. It is interactive, oral-learner friendly and is built around personal and biblical storyweaving, engaging with God through Scripture. This adaptable conversational framework is locally sustainable and can be reproduced in diverse cultural contexts and in primary and local languages. The content covers basic Christian disciplines and “need to know” topics, introduces Scripture memory and prayer to help new believers as they begin their new story following Jesus Christ. You will have a chance to practice what you learn using everyday situations that are applicable in the region you serve in. This will be taught by Africans for the African context. This training series consists of eight 2-hour sessions, plus 1-hour each week for out-of-class practices with your other training participants. The online sessions will take place on Tuesdays from May 6 to June 24, 2025 at the following times: 4:30pm – 6:30pm UTC (same time as Monrovia, Liberia); 5:30pm – 7:30pm WAT; 6:30pm - 8:30pm SAT.
