“Bryan”
As a local church pastor for over 20 years, Bryan says, “Storyweaving has changed my perspective about ministry, and has greatly impacted my personal life, my family, and my local ministry. I love the way that storyweaving has enabled me to fulfill my calling and vision for being an effective disciplemaker. Not only do I have the satisfaction of personally connecting with people as a storyweaver, but as a local church pastor and Weavers teacher, I love equipping others to be storyweavers as well. I see the Lord bearing fruit that lasts through this approach which points people to Christ through Scripture. The testimonies I hear from pastors and others show the powerful and effective impact that this training has had in their lives and among those they have reached in this way. This is wonderfully overwhelming and satisfying.”
The lively and engaging interaction of in-person training is especially important for both urban and rural cultures where Bryan ministers. He says that in his culture, effective disciplemaking needs to be taught as well as “caught,” so the storyweaving approaches to training and implementation are perfect for the areas of Asia where he has trained people.
Active persecution of Christ-followers by the majority culture is a constant challenge in Bryan’s area of the world. He says, “In times like these when persecution is on the rise, sharing about faith can be dangerous, so the storyweaving approach is very much needed. Pastors and other church leaders are requesting this training to strengthen the faith and service of their congregations.
Bryan’s local, national, and international ministry expenses for biblical storyweaving training can be reimbursed through donations that are made to Storyweavers Global.
